Giorgio Cambissa was a Swiss-born Italian composer and conductor who lived from 1921 to 1998. He studied with some of the most prominent musicians of his time, such as Giorgio Ghedini, Herbert von Karajan, and Sergiu Celibidache1. He was also the headmaster of the Conservatory of Music in Bolzano and Rome, and a member of the S.Cecilia's Academy in Rome2. He composed many works for various genres and instruments, such as chamber music, orchestral music, vocal music, and piano music. Some of his notable works include Wandering for piano and orchestra, Bizzarria for violin and piano, and Capriccio for alto, violin and cello2.
